Poona Couplings Pvt. Ltd. (PCPL) was established in 1984 as a joint venture with Holset
Engineering Company Limited, United Kingdom. At the time, Holset Engineering Co. Ltd.
(then a wholly owned subsidiary of Cummins USA) was seeking to enter the Indian market to
manufacture its comprehensive range of couplings.
Since inception, PCPL has specialised in the design, manufacture, and export of high
performance couplings, catering to a wide variety of applications and industry segments
across the globe. Our fail-safe solutions are suitable for all forms of industrial applications and
mechanical power transmission systems—both electric and diesel-driven.

Mr. Pankaj Mulye
Joint Managing Director
Our Leadership
Mr Pankaj Mulye is the Joint Managing Director of Poona Couplings Pvt. Ltd. His extensive engineering expertise adds significant value to the company, as he plays a pivotal role in product research and development, design innovation, and the evaluation of engineering processes. He oversees the manufacturing, procurement, and sales functions, ensuring seamless integration across departments.
He is responsible for identifying and targeting areas for operational improvement, with a particular emphasis on advancing technology and optimising manufacturing practices. He manages overall operations by ensuring the effective and efficient management of workforce productivity, quality assurance, and workplace safety standards.
He continuously develops and refines operational systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, implementing and evaluating robust policies and procedures, and streamlining processes for receiving goods, equipment utilisation, inventory control, and dispatch. His commitment to technological advancement and design excellence drives the company’s on-going growth and competitiveness in the industry.
Mrs. Meghana Mulye
Joint Managing Director
Meghana Mulye is a second-generation entrepreneur and is Joint Managing Director at Poona Couplings, a company engaged in the design, manufacture of couplings.
Meghana has 25+ yrs. of experience in delivering profitable growth and managing cross functional teams. Her key skills include setting up long term strategy and vision through innovative solutions. An excellent motivator, she has driven an inclusive culture in the companies she has worked. Her experience includes working with multinational companies and managing public trusts.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in commerce from Pune University, a postgraduate in Management with Marketing specialization. She stood 1st in the world in studies on Marketing Environment in a course conducted by CIM UK. Meghana is a mentor and supports women entrepreneurs through programs.
Meghana is a Qualified Independent Director and participates in dialogues and discussions (national, international) through forums on Women Leadership and mentors women entrepreneurs through programs. She also speaks on ESG and sustainability and is a
