Poona Couplings Pvt. Ltd. (PCPL) began as a Joint Venture with Holset Engineering Company Limited, United Kingdom in 1984. Holset Engineering Co. Ltd. UK (then Wholly owned subsidiary of Cummins USA) was looking to enter the Indian market to manufacture its entire range of couplings. 

The company is engaged in design, manufacture and export of couplings across all continents to suit various applications and segments. The fail-safe solutions are suitable for all industrial applications and mechanical power transmission (electric and diesel drive) equipment. Since inception, the company has manufactured more than 800,000 products for various applications. Poona Couplings takes pride in developing innovative solutions for difficult problems and has a wide range of Engineered to Order products.

A capability to manufacture a customised solution based on requirements and needs. The company has a flexible and adaptive manufacturing process to be able to design, engineer, and assemble a unique solution, which is Engineered-to Order.

The company ensures that all safety standards and quality measures are adhered to. The company is ISO 9001:2015 certified and ATEX (ATmosphere EXplosible) approved in accordance with the Directive 94/9/EC of the European Parliament and Counsel 23 March 1994 for non – electrical equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
